Are you looking for a diet that will improve the condition of your body, with the additional effect of losing a few excess pounds? Consider an alkaline diet!
If you are looking for a typical slimming diet, then unfortunately the alkaline diet will not meet your expectations. This diet is designed to restore the body’s acid-base balance, which results in improved metabolism.
According to its creator, Robert O. Young, the alkaline diet makes it easier to lose weight, but this is not its main goal. It was designed to improve well-being and reduce the risk of obesity, cancer, and to prevent osteoporosis by regulating calcium levels.
What is the alkaline diet all about? There is one main rule – during the diet you should eat 80% of products with alkaline reaction, and products with acid reaction should be limited to 20%.
Specialists determine that as many as 80% of Europeans have an acidified body. How can you tell if this problem affects you? Check if you have the following symptoms:
– lack of energy and frequent feeling of tiredness,
– a feeling of heaviness,
– heartburn,
– skin changes, tendency to eczema, dry skin and brittle nails,

– joint and muscle pains,
– dizziness, migraines, headaches,
– circulatory problems,
– potency problems,
– premenstrual syndrome,
– elevated blood glucose levels,
– excess secretions in the upper respiratory tract and sinuses.

– sprouts
– Herbs (e.g. chives, marjoram, oregano, caraway, dill)
– Dairy products,
– mineral water.
In addition to alkaline products, you can consume products with a neutral effect. These include walnuts, butter, oils (e.g. rapeseed, soybean, flax, olive oil). Of the grain products, buckwheat, quinoa and spelt are acceptable.
