What should be included in a balanced diet?

A healthy food pyramid can help you create a balanced diet that’s right for you. It is a good base for people starting to create a diet, but also a useful guideline for those more experienced. According to it, the basis of your diet should be fruits and vegetables, more specifically 3 portions of vegetables and 2 portions of fruit per day

Next in the pyramid come cereals, one of the main sources of carbohydrates in the diet. However, nutritionists recommend going for whole grain products, such as whole grain breads and natural oatmeal. The next tier of the pyramid is dairy, followed by meat and fish

The last item to appear in the pyramid is fats. Remember, however, that the healthiest choice will be vegetable ones, such as olive oil, flaxseed oil, grapeseed oil or rapeseed oil. Outside the pyramid are such products as sweets, fast food, salt and alcohol and other stimulants. These are products that do not serve your body at all, so it is worth eliminating them from your daily diet

Do not forget about proper hydration, which is an integral part of a balanced diet. It is recommended to drink about 2 liters of water a day, but if you lead an active lifestyle, you can successfully increase this amount to 3 liters. It is also worth including supplements in your diet. Vitamins for fatigue and lack of energy are extremely important in our climate, especially if your lifestyle is very busy.
