Stress accompanies us almost every day. It has a destructive effect on the body and may result in lowering of immunity. Yin Yoga is an excellent way to relax after a hard day.

Excessive Stress – Destruction of the Body

Some may be surprised, but stress under certain circumstances, can have a positive value. Small, occasional doses of stress can act on many in a mobilizing way. Stress before an important exam or a speech will make us more focused and we will put more effort in order to fulfill the task ahead of us as well as possible. However, we often have to deal with the other, much darker face of stress. Too much stress means not only sweating all over the body and characteristic hand trembling. It is also sleep problems, lowered mood, unwillingness to eat and, as a consequence, lowered efficiency of the immune system, leading to more frequent diseases. Stress may also be the cause of some civilization diseases. It is worth knowing effective ways to relax the body every day. Even a short session of Yin Yoga will make you feel much better!

Stress and physical activity

It is well known that physical activity is a great way to get rid of stress. If you feel that the burden of everyday responsibilities is increasingly overwhelming you, you have a nervous period at work or you are worried about your health or the future of your loved ones, find time every day to give vent to your emotions. If you like high-energy physical activity, you can go for a run or a bike ride. Do you prefer strength training? Dumbbells and weights can also help reduce stress. You can also start practicing yoga, which combines meditation and muscle-stretching techniques. Which path will you choose? The decision is up to you.

Yin Yoga – what is it?

Yoga has many faces. There are as many schools as many ideas how to improve our body and soul through exercises. Yin Yoga is a specially designed set of postures, which have a soothing effect on our body. Daily application of asanas, even in small doses, is supposed to contribute to the reduction of muscle tension and stress levels. If you are overly stressed (regardless of whether you have solid grounds for it or not), and your stressful lifestyle is bothering you more and more (which in the age of pandemics and the need to work remotely is nothing strange), then before you start eating sweets or reaching for the tranquillity pills, try the calming yoga poses. Don’t worry if you’re inexperienced. All you need is a comfortable outfit that doesn’t restrict your movements, a soft mat (preferably with a special non-slip coating), and an instructional video, which you can easily find online.

Yin Yoga as a remedy for stress

The set of nine postures is a set of exercises chosen in such a way as to maximally calm your body. Freeze for three minutes in each asana. Even with a very busy schedule, try to set aside less than half an hour a day for regular practice. You will quickly see how beneficial it is not only for your well-being, but also for your health. The key to success, however, is regularity. If you only do Yin Yoga occasionally, don’t expect spectacular results. Put your mind to the training, do the exercises carefully and you will feel the results after a short time.

Yin Yoga are asanas, thanks to which you will calm down internally and stretch your muscles. They do not require any special equipment or physical condition. They are accessible for everyone. However, pay attention to technique. The results you can achieve depend on how precisely you perform the exercises. Complement your chosen physical activity with a healthy diet rich in vitamins and minerals, and stress and illnesses will stay away from you! Remember – physical activity is the best remedy for stress. Do you want to relax? You do not have to leave your house! Yin Yoga is a set of postures that you can practice literally anywhere. You just need some space!
