A one-day cleansing diet – although it is quite popular – can already raise some doubts on the day. Does a detox lasting only 24 hours actually have the right to benefit our body? We check.

Detox of the body – what does it consist in?

Detoxing the body is primarily about getting rid of toxins lingering in the body, as well as regenerating cells. It is worth remembering that this is a process used not only during a weight loss diet – body detox is designed to improve our overall health and well-being. The numerous benefits of regular detoxes are undeniable, but can this type of diet also help us over the course of…one day?

One-day detox of the body – is it worth it?

At the outset, we should be clear – a detox lasting one day will not be able to fix all our dietary negligence. A day is too little time for even the most effective diet to bring spectacular results. Nevertheless, a one-day detox is not an idea that we should throw in the trash right away. On the contrary! After all, such an undertaking may turn out to be a great first step towards changing our eating habits once and for all. After all, you have to start somewhere, and a detox is always an excellent stimulus that will make us feel better. Nevertheless, at the same time it is worth taking precautions and consulting a doctor – after all, not every body has the conditions for even such a short cleansing.

One-day detox of the body – when to start?

In fact, any moment is suitable for making positive changes, and this is what a one-day detox is all about. Our body works at high speed throughout the year, so in view of this, you can start a healthy lifestyle virtually anytime. It is assumed that the best time for a one-day detox is spring – preferably immediately after the winter season, when we inevitably move less and eat more processed foods. After such a winter languor, a one-day detox can be an excellent first chapter on a new way of eating.

One-day detox of the body – how to prepare?

Preparation for a one-day body detox should begin even a few days before proceeding. During this time, it is advisable to eliminate heavy-digestible foods, meat and dairy from your daily diet, and limit grain products. You should also completely give up alcohol, coffee, energy and carbonated drinks, sweets. The abandoned products are best replaced with vegetables and mineral water. Before the detox day, it is best to get a decent night’s sleep, and carry out the cleansing itself on a day off – so as to avoid potential distractions and stressful situations.

One-day detox of the body – what to eat?

During a one-day detox, it is best to provide the body with the right vitamins to increase the synthesis of certain detoxifiers. This can be done with fruits and vegetables such as blueberries, blueberries, red currants, beets or cabbage. We can also use fresh fruits and vegetables to prepare smoothies and squeezed juices. An alternative solution is to use a one-day hunger strike, during which no food is consumed, drinking only water. However, this is a much more extreme option, from which negative consequences can result.
