The sport, which combines elements of dance, aerobics and fitness training, is a great way to have fun, model your figure and lose weight.

Versatile muscle development

Zumba is one of those workouts that counts as a general development class. In practice, this means that during one training unit the whole body and all muscle parts are worked. The combination of several different types of exercises, fast pace, dynamic movements and high frequency of classes allows to engage the whole body to work, evenly distributing the load to all parts.

Zumba helps not only to burn calories, but also to strengthen muscles, improve motor coordination, speed up metabolism, improve respiratory capacity and slenderize the figure of the athlete. Dancing to the rhythm of Latin American music is also a proven way to provide the body with endorphins, thereby improving mood.

Additional equipment during training

The comprehensive effect of regular Zumba training on the female figure can also be based on the use of various sports accessories. It is for this reason that there are several types and types of zumba, which increase the load in certain parts of the body.

While the classic version of zumba distributes the load evenly, varieties that use additional accessories help to work on specific muscle parts that you want to sculpt. This is how, among others, zumba works with a stepper, which helps further strengthen the work of the legs and buttocks. Dumbbells work in the same way.

Of course, the additional load must not be too heavy, so dumbbells weighing from half a kilo to a maximum of 2 kilos work best. Dumbbells by themselves are light, but when performing dozens of repetitions during a single workout, they greatly improve the work of the arms and help model the shape of the muscles of the entire arm. Resistance rubber bands worn on the legs can have a similar effect, straining the work of the thighs and calves.

Effective shaping of the entire body

Zumba is a sport ideal for women for several reasons. First of all, it is based on choreography, dance and dynamic music. Most ladies are eager to participate in this type of activity, and although during zumba they do not polish their dancing skills, they can work on their motor coordination and sense of rhythm. Zumba training, especially when practiced regularly several times a week, helps achieve visible results in a short time.

According to experts, a class lasting about 45 minutes can burn between 600 and even 800 calories. The scale, of course, depends on the athlete’s metabolism, balanced diet and exercise intensity. Visible effects also quickly appear in terms of the figure. Dynamic movements, tension and relaxation of muscles, additional loads and movement help to expose muscle tissue, emphasize the waistline and slenderize the entire silhouette after just one month of training.
