Vitamin C is one of the first supplements we reach for when we have a common ailment, such as a cold or a weakened body. However, if we consume it in increased amounts, there may be a certain “side effect”. It turns out that vitamin C has more potential than just a beneficial effect on human immunity.

British researchers from Arizona State University have no doubts – vitamin C, associated mainly with a cold medicine, helps women “over fifty” to build more muscle, which stimulates metabolism, and to release flabbiness accumulated when blood sugar levels are high. Supplementing with this vitamin can therefore prove to be a real breakthrough when it comes to fighting weight loss.

Studies have confirmed that people with high levels of vitamin C burn more fat and usually weigh less. The vitamin is perfectly soluble in water, so it is characterized by high assimilability. The problem arises when we realize that the human body has difficulty with its storage, but the British have found a solution. Liposomal supplements are enough, and the level of vitamin C in cells will be over 2.5 times higher!

In addition to these properties, vitamin C has also been proven to reduce the feeling of hunger and is an excellent antioxidant that will help us maintain proper sugar levels. All this is complemented by the fact that it is easily available – we can find it not only in fruits, vegetables and herbs, but also in meat, dairy and fish.
